Ashleigh & Tom's Wedding day at All Manor of Events, Suffolk

Ashleigh and Tom’s wedding at All Manor of Events in Suffolk was one of those days that reminded me why I love being a wedding Videographer. It was authentic, fun and completely them from start to finish.

Ashleigh and her bridal party got ready surrounded by that amazing energy that always seems to be around on the morning of a wedding day. It's that buzz of pure joy, hidden behind the nerves of everything coming together as you've been planning for so long.

The ceremony took place in the rustic barn at All Manor of Events, full of soft light that filtered through the wooden beams. Ashleigh walked down the aisle with her dad to a beautifully cinematic piece from Edward Scissorhands. It was the perfect soundtrack for a couple whose day was filled with their personalities. Once their vows were done, the guests mingled outside and greeted the newlyweds under a sea of confetti. Then the outdoor games commenced!

Speaking of personality, Tom rocked his black Vans trainers with total confidence, and later in the day, Ashleigh matched him by swapping into her Vans too!

The photographer and I took some time away with their gorgeous dog, Sage, who looked very proud in his little bow tie, to take some couple shots. Sage totally stole the show (or tried to), and we had a great time capturing both the posed shots and the totally natural in between ones.

The reception space was nothing short of amazing. There were vinyl records, glitter balls, and pops of pink everywhere. It was vibrant, bold, and unmistakably them. The speeches were heartfelt, hilarious, and honest. Both Ashleigh and Tom gave their own speeches, joined by Ashleigh’s father and Tom’s Best Man, giving me all the words to tell their love story in their own way.

As the evening light dipped low, we headed outside for a golden hour portrait session. The setting sun covered the venue in the warm, golden light that is just screaming for another round of, usually more natural, couples portraits. We wandered the grounds, said hello to the resident donkey and just let the moment unfold naturally. It’s exactly the way I like to do things.

Back inside, the energy lifted again. Guests gathered at the tattoo stations, snapped Polaroids, and tucked into an amazing tower of profiteroles, as well as delicious cakes.

Ashleigh and Tom’s wedding was much more than stylish and beautifully put together. It was entirely them. Every moment that I captured on the day completely reflected them, their love story and the fun they have together.

For me, this day was a reminder of what makes wedding filmmaking so special. Two people celebrating exactly who they are, surrounded by everyone they love.
