Top Wedding Venues in Suffolk: Perfect Backdrops for Your Wedding Film

Suffolk is beautiful and unsurprisingly, home to many incredible wedding venues, each offering its own unique charm and character. Whether you’re dreaming of a grand historic hall, a rustic barn, or a magical woodland setting, you are sure to find it in Suffolk. As a wedding videographer, I’ve been lucky enough to capture celebrations at some of the best spots, and today, I’m sharing a few of my favourites!
Branches Park Estate
Branches Park Estate is an absolutely stunning venue tucked away in the Suffolk countryside. The getting ready rooms are bright, uniquely decorated, and offer a lovely backdrop for those beautiful pre-ceremony moments, think your wedding outfit, candid laughter, and heartfelt moments between your closest friends and family.
The estate is home to a gorgeous lake, where you'll often spot birds flying overhead, which adds a really storybook element to your wedding film! The ceremony and reception take place in beautifully converted barns, filled with natural light thanks to large windows and plenty of space, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for you and your guests.
Suffolk Barn
Suffolk Barn is a particularly special one for me as it’s where my wife and I got married! Set amidst rolling fields just outside Bury St Edmunds, this barn is steeped in history, offering an authentic rustic feel that's full of character.
What makes Suffolk Barn even more memorable are the little quirks you don't find at every other wedding venue, like the free-roaming chickens adding to the relaxed countryside vibe and the eye-catching Hercules statue in the grounds. It’s a venue that's both down-to-earth and truly special.
Hengrave Hall
If you’re after grandeur and history, Hengrave Hall is one of Suffolk’s most iconic wedding venues. This breathtaking Tudor mansion offers so much, stunning grounds, grand halls filled with character, and a real sense of timeless romance.
One of the real standouts at Hengrave is the on-site church which is perfect if you’re looking for a traditional and unique ceremony without having to travel. Guests are free to wander the gardens and grounds, offering multiple gorgeous spots for couple portraits throughout the day. It's a venue that offers the full fairytale experience.
